Defeat Is Hard To Take- Danbort FC Coach Allotey

Danbort FC Coach, Abrahams Allotey has described his sides 1-0 defeat to Heart of Lions in their opening day fixture of the GN Bank National Division One League (DOL) has hard to take.

He said they deserved more from this game as they created what he termed decent chances to have at least earned a point from this game played at the Nungua Town Park on Saturday.

Benjamin Adjetey scored the only goal of the game in the 36th minute to hand Lions all three points as they began life in the second tier competition after being relegated from the top-flight at the end of last season.

Coach Allotey told Sportscrusader.com that they gifted Lions the goal after a defensive mix-up allowed Adjetey to score what turned out to be the only goal of the match.

“We had chances to have at least gotten a draw out of this game but couldn’t take them and that was our undoing this afternoon,” he said, adding that losing their opening game of the season was a very painful one.

“Hopefully, we can learn from this defeat and take positives out of it, and, I am hopeful that we will bounce back and produce better performances than this to make our fans happy,” he stated.
