League Success Is Down To The Players - Coach Keni

Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Kenichi Yatshuashi, has re-directed praises from himself to his players for the teams high-flying start to the 2015/16 Ghana premier league season.

Coach Kenichi Yatshuashi has guided the Phobians to two successive premier league victories over sides (New Edubiase and Medeama SC) that have ‘bullied’ the  20-times premier league champions recording enviable victories over Hearts in the last three years.

The Japanese-American tactician had been branded ‘incompetent’ upon his appointment months ago and when he lost back-to-back against Libyan side, Al-Ahli of Tripoli he head was called to be placed on the chopping board.

The board and management had supported  and tasked him to win the maiden GHALCA First Trust G6 tourney but he failed and the fans once again called for his dismissal but fast forward league commencement and the song tune has changed.

Kenichi after his sides two nil victory over Medeama SC labelled the players as the reason for the success and not him as the media keeps commenting on.

He said, “the payers are doing their job and the success and impressive start to the league has got nothing to do with me. I am not thinking about the next game but we’ll ensure the next game is better than this as we improve each game.”

Kenichi’s next game comes against Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs as the quest to reclaim the lost Phobian glory goes on.
