Arsenal Ready To Sign A New Striker


 


Arsenal are be set for a busy January transfer window, with the Arsene Wenger’s biggest target is for a striker and the rumour mill has linked the in – form Bayer Leverkusen and former Manchester united striker Javier Hernandez – with a move to the Emirate stadium.

The Gunners are lining up a £13.2m offer for the Mexican striker, who has been in sensational form this season since joining the bundesliga outfit.

The forward, who had a difficult spell under manager, Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, has scored 19 goals in 22 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen this season – almost as many as the entire United team put together!

Chicharito’s form has not gone unnoticed in north London, with Wenger keen to sign competition and cover for his only fit and inconsistent striker, Olivier Giroud.


 


Arsenal are also keen on signing a defensive midfielder after Francis Coquelin was hit by injury, with Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel, Porto’s Danilo Pereira and Southampton’s Kenyan international, Victor Wayanma all linked with a move to the 11 – times FA cup winners.
