The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi has sworn-in Abdulai Alhassan into office as chairman of the Northern Regional FA.
In a ceremony earlier today (Thursday), Kwesi Nyantakyi swore Alhassan into office, a successor to Adam Munkaila who lost out in last year’s regional elections.
Abdulai Alhassan defeated incumbent chairman Adam Munkaila for the chairmanship position in last year’s regional elections, winning 49 of the total votes cast.
Adam Munkaila questioned the process that qualified Abdulai Alhassan to vie for the chairmanship position and sought to court for redress, forcing the FA not to swear him into office.
Adam Munkaila discontinued his pursuit of the case in January this year, and that paved the way for the Ghana FA to swear Abdulai Alhassan into office and confirmed him a member of the FS Executive Committee.
