Black Stars Won"t Miss Injured Trio - Grant

Ghana head coach, Avram Grant says the team will not miss the services of injured trio, Mubarack Wakaso, John Boye and Frank Acheampong in Maputo on Sunday.

The trio were pulled out of the Black Stars 3-1 win over  Mozambique on Thursday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Afcon 2017 qualifier.

But Grant is adamant saying the team played well without them and will cope in Maputo on Sunday.

“I can’t tell for now the level of injuries they suffered because the medical department will have to assess the players for us to see how they are. I hope the injuries are not serious,” the former Chelsea manager told the press after the game.

On whether the team will miss the trio, Avram Grant said “I hope we have them for the game in Maputo, but we prepared for this game with 23 players and they are all good enough to play, but like i said, we hope to have them but if we can’t, we have no problems.

“We played well without them.”

Ghana lead Group H with 9 points from three games and a win in Maputo will all but seal the Stars place in Gabon.
