Former Ghanaian cruiser weight boxer Napoleon Tagoe has highlighted the need for the national boxing team to be built from the foundations again to enable Ghana produce more world champions.
Ghana in recent times is struggling to have more amateur boxers to represent in the olympics and producing world champions to further boost the name of Ghana at international level.
In an interview with sportscrusader.com the former contender of the WBC Cruiserweight Title Napoleon Tagoe said “the future of boxing in this country is very bright if the coaches in charge are able to execute their mandate as proper trainers of the upcoming youth”
The 48 year-old was concerned about the training program of the youth who are very talented in the sports,but needed the assistance to help them grow in the sport and become world champions in the near future.
