Dreams FC head coach, C.K Akunnor has admitted the playing surface at the ‘theatre of Dreams’ isn’t in the best shape but better than other centres.
Football clubs in Ghana have been criticised for poor playing surfaces and their maintenance culture has been questioned as well but newly promoted Ghana premier league side have an asset (stadium) not many team do in Ghana.
But the ambitious club as their name (Dreams FC) suggests keeps dreaming – as they still work on the Dawu based stadium to get it into better shape than it is now.
The former Black Stars captain, admits the pitch isn’t fully up to his standard yet but in a better shape than they first played Hearts of Oak prior to the season commencement.
“Well the pitch isn’t in the best shape but comparing to the first tie against Hearts there’s vast improvement and our man working on the pitch is doing a good job,” he told sportscrusader.com.
He added, “but our pitch is better than others though is yet to meet the standard we are expecting.”
