Photos: PFAG Officially Launch "Life After Football Fund"

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PfaG) has officially launched the Associations ‘life after football fund’ at the Alisa Hotel.


The Association launched the policy to enable footballers have a better life after they have retired from the game.


The insurance policy, which is in partnership with State Insurance Company (SIC) will oversee an insurance cover for all the 16-premier league club as the first phase of the project.


The Life After Football pension fund will also see players enjoy benefits such as seed capitals for business should they plan on venturing into any profitable business, insurance benefits to the beneficiary (retired player) and his dependant(s).


The launch was graced by both retired and active footballers, as well as members of the current Ghana Black Stars to offer support to the worthy course.


Youth and Sports Minister, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye who was the guest of honour for the occasion acknowledged the good and positive act from the pfaG body and called for more of such benefits for the players when they hang up their boots and concluded with the declaration of officially launching the policy.
