The Coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant has reiterated the need for the quality of the football pitches across the country to be improved especially, the one at Accra Sports Stadium, where the Black Stars are scheduled to play the Mambas of Mozambique on Thursday.
The poor standard of Football pitches across the various stadia have hindered the swiftness of play which has indeed affected the quality of play regardless of the abundant talent available.
At a press conference at the Accra Sports Stadium where blacks stars will play, Grant said “the football pitches needs to be improved so that we can get the maximum input from the players”.
“Ghana has numerous talented players, so if the pitches are improved the football may be better,” the 61 year old added.
Grant also emphasize the difficult most players in camp are facing as they cannot exhibit the extreme level of swiftness which is due to the nature of the pitch as the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars have finalized their preparation ahead of the clash with Mozambique on Thursday when there train earlier this morning at the stadium.
