We"re Under Pressure - Kotoko Concedes

Kumasi Asante Kotoko assistant coach, Michael Osei, has admitted the club is under pressure due to the poor start to the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.

The 24-times league champions started the league poorly to the surprise of the bookmakers and fans of the club, after being tipped to easily reclaim the the crown they lost in the 2014/15 season.

Kotoko is yet to win a match this season after recording defeat in the opening game to WAFA and back-to-back drawn games against Medeama SC and Ashgold.

Osei, a former player of the club conceded, the team is under pressure to start winning and can’t afford to drop anymore points.

He said, “yes! we are under pressure simply because Kotoko is a big institution and comes along with huge expectations. With just three matches into the season and a string of poor results, we are under immense pressure from the fans, because it has negative effects on the technical team and the playing body (players).”

Kotoko travel away to Berekum to play against Chelsea in match week four.
