National Women’s League Week 2 Roundup (Northern Sector)

Week two of the Ghana National Women’s League didn’t come with any surprises in the Northern Sector as all the power houses recorded wins.


Alice Kusi scored four goals as Fabulous Ladies bounced back from their opening day disappointment to beat Upper Ladies 6-0 in Kumasi.


Florence Annor and Agnes Aduako were the other scorers for the 2014 finalist.


Leaders Ampem Darkoa continued with their quest for a second successive final appearance with a 3-1 away win at Ashtown Ladies. Priscilla Adubea and Mavis Owusu were both on target with the former scoring a brace.


Elsewhere, a Georgina Aoyem ‘s lone striker was enough to condemn Subayo Golden Ladies to a second successive defeat. They lost 1-0 at home to Lepo Ladies.


Prisons Ladies also recorded a similar victory at home to Northern Ladies with the only goal of the game coming from Sylvia Annor.
