GPL: Liberty Set To Miss Key Players For Chelsea Clash

Liberty Professionals will be missing the services of two key players for their Ghana Premier League Match Week Eight, clash against Berekum Chelsea at the Carl Reindoff Park on Wednesday.

Gerald Arkson and Daniel Kodie, who have both been ever present in the Scientific Soccer Lads set up will be serving suspensions, leaving head coach, George Lamptey with the dilemma in his quest to maintain his side’s impressive home record.

Arkson, 18, will serve a one-game ban after receiving a third yellow card of the season in Liberty’s MTN FA Cup Round of 32 penalty shootout victory away at Pure Joy on Saturday.

Daniel Kodie, who missed that game due to a red card received in the 3-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko on Match Week seven will be serving the second of his three-game ban.

In the absent of the two influential players, George Lamptey is likely to opt for the central midfield partnership of experienced duo of Tamimu Muntari and Ebo Mends.

Liberty have won all their home games since the start of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League, the latest of which was a 5-1 thumping of defending champions Ashanti Gold SC.
