Medeama SC Confident Of Good Result In Sudan

Ghanaian outfit, Medeama SC are confident of producing a good result as they go into their CAF Confederation Cup tie this weekend in Sudan.


The FA Cup champions play Sudanese side Al Shendi in a second round first leg encounter on Sunday, with the return fixture scheduled to be played in Ghana after a fortnight.


Medeama arrived in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s clash and are confident of returning to Ghana in a position to qualify to the next stage of the competition.


Club President, Moses Armah said on arrival that the boys are in confident mood and ready for the game on Sunday insisting that fear will not be a factor as they head into this game.


“We prepared very well in Ghana before coming here, and I can tell you that the boys are eager to perform on Sunday, President Armah said.


Asked about how he rates Al Shendi, he said they have very little knowledge of the Sudanese but will not be shaken as they go into this game.


Medeama SC advanced to this stage of the competition after eliminating Al Ittihad Tripoli of Libya on a 2-1 aggregate and are seeking to reach the group phase of the competition for the first time.
