Quarter finalists of the 2016 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship have been drawn into two groups of four teams.
The groupings were made in the aftermath of preliminary qualifying games which ended on Friday April 8 at the University of Ghana (UG) where University of Ghana and Marshalls qualified.
In the quarter final Group A, two-time winner Accra Polytechnic will take on debutantes University of Development Studies-Tamale and the reigning Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Basketball Champions, University of Ghana (UG).
In Group B, last year’s finalists Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology will face off University of Energy and Natural Resources for the first time since their last meeting in the GUSA Games.
Games will be played in a round robin format to decide which teams progress to the semifinals of the competition.
The top two teams in each group qualify for the semis.
