Ebusua Dwarfs Ready For GPL - Stephen Aidoo

Ebusua Dwarfs are optimistic of a successful season in their return to the Ghana Premier league, according to skipper of the club, Stephen Aidoo.

The Cape Coast-based club were relegated into the second Division of Ghana football two seasons ago, and have made a sensational return to the top flight competition.

They recorded a stalemate result against Nigerian side Ifeanyi Ubah in their pre-season friendly on Wednesday, having already won as many as six of their preparatory matches.

The return of the premier league is nigh after almost three months of delay and he is delighted the team is in good shape for the upcoming season.

“Since we qualified for the premier league,  we’ve been preparing for the season and we are in good shape.

“We’ve played many preparatory matches and our performance has been good, we still have  a lot to do, but for now, I think we are well prepared for the season,” Stephen told Accra-based radio station, Happy FM

“Division One football is different from the premier league but we’ve played premier league football before and we are only returning after a year off.

“The club has made new signings and they’ve brought competition into the team. I am certain we will have a good season.”

Ebusua Dwarfs will open their 2016 premier league campaign against newly promoted side, Dreams FC on Sunday February 21 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
