Edubiase "Parked The Bus" - Hearts

Accra Hearts of Oak board member, Vincent Sowah Odotei popularly referred to as ‘football Obama’ has condemned New Edubiase for deploying a (Mourinho-esque) negative tactics in the sides first game of the Ghana premier league (GPL) season.

The 20-times premier league champions looked to get off to a winning start and make a statement of intent and the performance the Japanese-American, Kenichi Yatshuashi led team displayed not overly dominate but was exactly what the fans paid for.

Hearts defeated the Adansi side that has been a torn in their flesh by a Samuel Ayew Yeboah lone goal in the second half when the pair met for the thirteenth time in the Ghana premier league.

The football administrator cum politician, Odotei in an interview with sportscrusader.com criticised New Edubiase for keeping many players behind the ball, defending throughout the game than opening up for spectators to enjoy.

He said, “the game was a typical first game of the season as both sides were cautious going forward but the away team (New Edubiase) came for a draw and so they ‘parked the bus’ and we were also not finding our rhythm and accuracy in-front of goal but in a whole Hearts were the better team and unsurprisingly we won as well”.

Hearts victory in the game was the first win in the two sides meeting in three years.
