Abalora (WAFA) – John Killa’s gloves man was arguably the best among the 9 goalkeepers (Antwi replaced Felix Annan) who man the post to help Killa kill Kotoko.
Patrick Cole (Bechem United) – The right back was thorne on the flesh of Liberty Professionals up field and was at the thick of events to curtail Liberty’s incursions at the back.
Kennedy Appiah (Hearts) – Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s ‘sushi’ philosophy was on display at the Accra sports stadium and the left back executed the plan to perfection over any his seven colleagues.
Robin Gnagne (Hearts) – As reliable as he has always being since joining Accra Hearts of Oak, the Ivorian neutralised New Edubiase’s striking attack with aplomb.
Abass Mohammed (Inter Allies) – The youngster defensive organization was second to none during the weekend matches. He killed Yahaya Mohammed who had to choose the turf to win the referee’s sympathy instead of fighting for 50-50 balls.
Gideon Waja (WAFA) – Gideon Waja is a testimony that football is not about size or age. The tiny lanky youngster dropped Kotoko dead and was the architect of almost every brilliant move by WAFA. He tore Kotoko’s midfield apart and one of is ever salivating off the guard passes sent Samuel Tetteh on his way to scoring the second goal.
Isaac Twum (Inter Allies) – Isaac Twum sailed through the midfield of Aduana Stars as if a boat on the surface of water. He danced with the ball much to delight of spectators. His super quality ball provided the opening for Lord Offosuhene to send in delicious cross for Ropapa Mensah to open the scoring. His hard work paid dividends when scored from Ropapa’s back heel pass to cushion their advantage.
Samuel Tetteh (WAFA) – The former Black Satellites winger pace is a menace to any opposition on any day, and he made use it, bamboozling the sluggish Amos Frimpong. He grabbed the winner in WAFA’s opening league game of the season.

Ropapa Mensah (Inter Allies) – Ropapa Mensah scored and assisted the other as Inter Allies whipped Aduana Stars at the Tema sports stadium. The 5ft 9 inches striker trickery blew Aduana Stars apart and he capped a super afternoon with a back heel assist for Isaac Twum to cushion the slim lead and closed the contest.
