Hearts Announce Free Gate For Children

Accra Hearts of Oak has announced that children who are sixteen years and below will watch the team’s home matches for free starting from Sunday against New Edubiase at the Accra sports stadium.

The management of the club reached a decision to reconnect with fans who seem to be divided since the flotation of shares in 2011.

Fans claim majority shareholder Togbe Afede XI V is responsible for the inability of the club to win any recognised silverware since the 2008 / 2009 premier league season.

Others have also planned on organising funds to reclaim the team from Togbe Afede XI V.

But the club has swiftly announced a decision which could reconnect the lost bond between management and fans.

In a statement signed by Communication Manager of the former premier league champions, Mr. Kwame Opare-Larbi, management believes they are transforming the club to attain greater heights.

“Every aspect of the club is being transformed to make it not only a model of ‘good football club’ but crucially a sustainably profitable entertainment business,” the statement read

“As part of the efforts at transforming the club, we are pleased to announce to the public that Accra Hearts of Oak will admit children up to the age of 16 years free entry to all home matches beginning this Sunday against New Edubiase United at the Accra Sports Stadium.” It added.

Accra Hearts of Oak will open their premier league season against New Edubiase at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday February 21.
