Kumasi Asante Kotoko has named a strong 19-man squad for the club’s first game of the Ghana premier league season against WAFA.
The record Ghanaian champions have been gearing up for the 2015/16 season as they intend on reclaiming the premier league title they lost to regional rivals, Obuasi Ashantigold. Kotoko has been ruthless in the off-season with impressive wins in all the games except an away loss in an international friendly against Libyan side, Al-Ettihad.
Coach David Duncan who led his team out in a training session at the Tema Astroturf stadium as the players familiarise themselves with the pitch as they travel to Sogakope to play against WAFA named an 19-man team who will like to make a statement of intent with a win away from home.
The squad includes:
Goalkeepers
Eric Ofori Antwi, Felix Annan and Ernest Sowah
Defenders
Tuffuor Frimpong, Paa Kwesi, Evans Quao, Attah Kusi, Amos Frimpong, Ohene Brenyah, Mohammed Adams and Richard Osei Agyemang.
Midfielders
Kwadwo Poku, Stephen Oduro, Stephen Nyarko, Bennet Ofori, Halifax Sanogo and Eric Donkor
