Black Stars shot stopper Richard Ofori has pledged to keep hold of his spot as the finest goal keeper in the domestic top flight when the 2016 football calender kicks off over the weekends.
The Wa All Stars gargling safest pair of hands was adjudged the best in his position at the end of the 2014/15 FCPPL and he has promised to defend the accolade with his paymasters.
Ofori held off competition from Inter Allies Osei Kwame and other contenders to earn himself the goal keepers bragging rights until the end of the upcoming season.
The 22 year lanky safest pair of hands accepted the challenge posed by his domestic rival but remains adamant to relinquish the Golden Gloves to any domestic rival without any fierce fight.
The Black Stars custodian tipped his Wa based side for a title surge and pledged too shoulder more responsibilities in a highly anticipated season on the domestic terrain.
“It is not easy to be crowned the best goal keeper in the country but I feel very great to have such a prestigious award.
As a young goal keeper it has really boosted my confidence ahead of the upcoming season. It has been realky great for my career so far”, Richard Ofori told sports crusader exclusively.
“I am ready to improve on my last season’s form and help Wa All Stars seal a top four finish at the very least. With the help of my team we will together defend the crown . All we need is unrelenting prayers from the supporters of footballs and Wa All Stars to be specific”,Ofori added.
