Head coach of West Africa Football Academy, John Killa says his side deserve to amass all the maximum points in the first game of the new season against Asante Kotoko.
WAFA defeated Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Sogakope Stadium on Saturday afternoon to win the 2016 league opener, and John Killa believes his team were the better side and deserved the victory.
“I think we deserved the win, we were the better side from the onset and we scored an important goal late in the first half,” excited John Killa told Super Sport after the game.
“I was very happy with the way we scored the second goal because the movement and the run were well executed.m,” he noted.
WAFA created numerous chances after the early second half cushion from Samuel Tetteh, but the fluffed the glorious opportunities to make it a massive win.
However, the Dutch man is content with the points in the basket.
“We could have scored more, we created chances to score the 3rd goal, but it we could not make use of the chances but I am very happy with the first win and first three points.” He said.
