Wothdraw Your GHALCA Chairmanship Ambition For Me - Oduro Sarfo Tells Kofi Poku

Ghana League Clubs Association Chairman hopeful, Nana Oduro Sarfo has told his colleague, Kofi Poku to hold on to his candidature for the chairmanship and back him to win the position.

Nana Oduro Sarfo, former Berekum Chelsea Chief executive officer, claim Kofi Poku has withdrawn his interest to vie for the position with Cudjoe Fianoo and Alhaji Raji.

But Mr. Kofi Poku, director of Unicom travel and tour and a football administrator denied withdrawing his candidature and told Nana Oduro Sarfo to stop spreading the false rumours.

And Nana Oduro Sarfo who initially insisted that Kofi Poku has withdrawn his interest and is currently his campaign manager, has told him to back him to win this year and contest in the next elections.

“I am telling you that Kofi Poku has withdrawn his GHALCA chairmanship ambitions and he is my campaign manager,” Nana Oduro Sarfo told Happy FM.

“He is leading my campaign team and we on course to spread our word to the delegates.” He added.

When Nana Oduro Sarfo was told Kofi Poku has denied withdrawing his candidature, he said: “what is he doing?he should have wait for me become the chairman first.

“He can contest in the next elections if he wants but for now, he should withdraw and throw his weight behind me.” He said.

GHALCA met earlier this week and announced that nomination forms will be made available to interested candidates on March 10 to 21, whilst the elections itself will be on April 21.

Winners of the various positions will be sworn into office on April 28.
