The Italian FA has confirmed that Chelsea target Antonio Conte will leave after Euro 2016.
He is expected to join Chelsea in the English Premier League.
The former Juventus boss has spent the last two years in charge of the Azzurri, after winning three successive Serie A titles with the Bianconeri.
Chelsea are expected to follow the announcement by confirming Conte as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor at Stamford Bridge.
FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio said: “Antonio Conte has communicated to me that after the European Championships, his experience will finish.
“He feels the pull of the pitch and daily training and this is understandable.”
The Italian manager’s decision to step-down has seen the bookmakers odds slashed down on being confirmed as the new Blue’s boss.
