The vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) George Afriyie has told Moses Foh-Amoaning to be worried the government rejected some of their recommendations to avoid after the Dzamefe Commission investigated the 2014 World Cup fiasco.
Mr. Foh-Amoaning, member of three-man committee set up by President John Dramani Mahama to investigate what led to Ghana’s abysmal display during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, has not lost the opportunity to remind government that the recommendations ought to be implemented.
Afriyie, whom the Commission recommended that he should stay away from all national teams football related issues, has accused the former Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) chairman of putting pressure on the government to act, and has told him to be worried that their work was overlooked.
“The Commission has done its work and I think it ends there; allow the rest of the law to work, but he taken it too personal to the extent that he wants certain individuals taken on by the government.” the Liberty Professionals chairman told Happy FM.
“His incessant push for government to accepted their recommendations is becoming too much. Is this the only Commission to have been set by government in this country?
“We’ve had many Commissions in this country including Gbadegbe Commission, Okudzeto Commission, Ghana 50 Commission and recently Gyasi Sarpong Commission, is that how they talk on radio?
“Is he saying that the person you recommended action should be taken against should not defend himself?
“Majority of the recommendations were rejected by government, it is the only Commission government rejected majority of their findings, isn’t he worried about that?” He quizzed.
