The Match Week Three Ghana Premier League fixtures ended on Sunday across eight match venues.
Fifteen (15) goals were produced by twelve (12) different players over the weekend, with West Africa Football Academy winger Samuel Tetteh making the headlines with the first hat trick of the season.
sportscrusader.com had its satellite across the eight the centres and present to our cherish readers the players who stood out for their respective teams.
Fatau Alhassan (Liberty) – The toughest place to visit for league football is Wa. Hasaacas will give a testimony of this, but Fatau Alhassan stood to his grounds amd pulled off massive save to earn his side a valuable point.
Asante Agyemang (Bechem) – The most outstanding left back in this season’s GPL has been Asante Agyemang who has made going forward and tracking back so easy. His one-on-one marking has been a pillar of his game.
Alhassan Mohammed (WAFA) – Alhassan Mohammed made the front trio of Sekondi Hasaacas too inferior to cause any damage to a WAFA side who were never satisfied of killing Hasaacas. Brilliant body positioning and organization of his backline.
Samuel Sarfo (Liberty) – The policeman cum footballer is as good on the pitch as handling the gun. He nullified All Stars danger men Richard Arthur and Maxwell Baako to force out a point in one of Ghana’s most difficult venues.
Amos Korankye (Hasaacas) – Despite the annihilation Sekondi Hasaacas suffered at the Sogakope Stadium, Amos Korankye was at his best to push his colleagues forward to fight back. His usual incursions into the opponent’s area were as dangerous as ever, but he lacked the killer blow.
Malik Akowuah C (Medeama) – The best player over the weekend was Malik Akowuah. His vision, movement, passes were all on point. His stunner was a beauty, and assist for Bismarck Oppong to draw parity was honey.
Bright Nsiah (City) – He made Techiman City’s midfield bulky and bossed the game like Zidane at his peak.
Evans Mensah (Inter Allies) – He carries the left foot of Lionel Messi and fights like Diego Maradona. He was a thorn on the flesh of Dreams FC and scored a near post screamer; an angle very difficult to fathom how he placed the ball.
Samuel Tetteh (WAFA) – The winger feet is a beat and his pace and arsenal with power beyond AK 47 ammunition. A super hero performance to grab the first hat trick of the season.
Stephen Nyarko (Kotoko) – Stephen Nyarko stepped up well to for Kotoko and did himself the service of a star performance required. He was often bamboozled off the ball but that did not scare him from calling David Duncan to throw more weight behind him.
Lawson Berkui (Dreams) – First start, and the back of the net twice. His general play was class.
