Toure Sets A New Record




Ivorian Center back legend, Kolo Toure last week became the first African to reach 300 Barclays Premier League starts.


The Liverpool defender was involved from the onset in a 3-0 win over Pelligrini’s side which included his brother Yaya Toure  for Manchester City.


Toure, 34, made over 300 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal before moving to the Manchester City where he played over a 100 times – and eventually to Liverpool.


The ever strong centre-back made his 50th Premier League appearance for liverpool, and an overall of 350th appearance in all competitions after coming off the bench in a 2-1 away win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.


The African nations cup winner, has also made  over a 100 times for his country, will now be looking to make more appearances in all competitions for English clubs.
