Herbert Addo Explains Why He Made Whole Changes

Head coach of Inter Allies football Club, Hebert Addo has explained his decision to make nine changes to his team in the second week of the Ghana Premier League against Liberty Professionals.

Herbert Addo made nine changes to his side that defeated Aduana Stars at the Carl Reindolf Park on Sunday afternoon and suffered a 2-1 loss to Liberty Professionals in a heart-pumping game.

The decision raised eyebrows, but the former Hearts of Oak boss explained that he was protecting his players from injuries and acquisition of more yellow cards.

“The main reason for changing almost the whole team was to protect some players who are injured and others who have yellow cards,” the 70-year-old told the press after the game.

“Football is about opportunity and I also wanted to give other players the chance to show what they can do. If I have 20 players, they all should be able to play; so those who had chance were lucky to have gotten the opportunity but they didn’t take.

“This a game we could have played better. All the same I am not worried about the result I am worried about our performance, but hopefully, we will have better game next week.” He said.

Inter Allies will meet Dreams FC at the Tema sports stadium on Match Week Three of the Ghana Premier League.
