Liberty Skipper Sarfo Attributes Wa Stalemate to Poor Weather Condition

Liberty Professionals captain Samuel Sarfo has attributed his side’s goal-less draw with Wa All Stars to the poor weather conditions in the Upper West Regional capital.

According to the 25-year old center half, the weather in Wa had a telling effect on the Scientific Soccer lads who only travel from Accra last Friday evening.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with SportsCrusader.com on Monday morning Sarfo, who is an officer in the Ghana Police Service  praised the performances exhibited by the Dansoman based club.

” We played very well despite Wa all stars being unbeaten in their two games. We had a bad weather and pitch but we still stood to our grounds to match them” he said.

” We went there to win but unfortunately it ended in a draw” Sarfo added.

Samuel Sarfo was however quick to admit that they are not disappointed with their inability to record a victory at the Wa Parkon Sunday.

” If you play a good side, who are comfortable on their home grounds and know the weather condition more than you and you come out with such a results, you don’t have to be disappointed”,  he said,  adding that,  ” The weather was hell. I can’t tell how many degrees though but it was very hot to the extent that our feet were burning but we didn’t let that bring us down”.

Liberty Professionals will next play newly promoted Techiman at the Carle Reindoff Park in Dansoman on Friday March 11.
