MTN FA Cup: Arkson Believes Liberty Can Upset Champions Medeama

Liberty Professionals Midfielder, Gerald Arkson believes his side can cause an upset by defeating defending Champions Medeama SC in this weekend’s MTN FA Cup Round of 64.

The Mauves and Yellow begin the defence of their FA Cup with and all Premier tie against the Dansoman based side and the highly rated midfielder is not ruling out his outdfit’s chances despite describing Medeama as the favourites.

“My personal view about Medeama is that they are not a bad side at all despite their relative slow start this season. I know they take the FA cup more serious as compared to the league as well and they are the current champions” Arkson told SportsCrusader.com in exclusive interview.

“so it is not going to be an easy match especially on their home grounds after their back to back victories in the CAF Confederations Cup and against Dwarfs in the league.

“But I have much belief in my team mates that we can perform wonders. We have always been able to pull surprises when people think it can’t be possible”, the 18-year old added.

Arkson has been instrumental in the Liberty Professionals set up since his promotion from the club’s academy at the beginning of the 2014/2015 season.

He played in all but three league games for the Dansoman based club last season and has started this season where he left off by featuring in all five league matches so far.

The Dansoman fans favourite was voted the man of the match in their 2-1 victory against inter Allies on Match Week 2 of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League
