Mutawakilu Seidu Praises Hearts’ Goalkeeper’s Trainer

Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Mutawakilu Seidu has praised the efforts of his trainer at the club after seeing what he terms a massive improvement in his game.


The former Ghana under 20 international joined the Phobians a couple of seasons ago from then Division One outfit, Dreams FC, and has been making sturdy progress since.


He has been working with Nasamu Yakubu and, Mutawakilu said his association with the veteran trainer has helped improved his game.


“Nasamu has been the best goalkeeper’s trainer I have ever worked with in this my short career, and, I am proud to say he has been a positive influence on my career,” Mutawakilu told the clubs newspaper, the Hearts News.


He added: “Working with this great character has improved all aspects of my game and I hope to build on this towards having a chequered career as top-notch goalkeeper for Accra Hearts of Oak and Ghana.


The young goalie is in competition with Burkina Faso international Soulama Abdoulaye, Evans Agbeti and Samuel Akurugu for the number one spot, and, he said the competition has also helped with his development.


“These are three very good goalkeepers who all want to improve, and, working with them has been a good opportunity to develop even further,” he said.


He hopes to continue bidding his time at the capital club and said; he will take any opportunity that comes his way this season to prove his worth for the club.
