Mozambique will face the Ghana Black Stars on Thursday, March 24 in an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2017 qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The OS Mambas of Mozambique will look to pick at least a point if not win in the game to keep their slim chance of making it to the competition final in Gabon.
Sportscrusader.com profiles the Mambas danger-man, Elias Pelembe, born on 20 September, 1987. The striker plies his trade in the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) with Bloemfontein Celtic F.C.
The young forward has made 22 senior national team appearances and has scored 3-goals. Pelembe has made just 7-league appearances in the 2015/16 PSL season with 2-goals to his name. Though the form is way off his potential the Black Stars defenders can’t afford to have an oversight of Pelembe whose pace can be his hidden weapon.
