Head Coach of Ghana Premier League outfit Medeama SC, Tom Marcus Strand returned to training on Thursday morning after being diagnosed with malaria, SportsCrusader.com can confirm.
The 33-year old Swede trainer was not in the dugout during the side’s 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs in an outstanding League fixture on Wednesday.
The absence of the former Bechem United boss sparked speculation regarding his future at the club over claims he was not happy with the Tarkwa based side.
But the club has been quick to quash the report after the highly-rated trainer supervised Thursday morning’s recovery session at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park.
The two-time FA Cup champions begin their title defence with a home tie against Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
