The Owner of former premier league side, Berekum Arsenal, Alhaji Moro Yakubu has prophesised the game of football is left with just three years to survive.
The vocal club owner has added his voice to the many skeptics and critics of the Kwesi Nyantakyi led Ghana football Association (GFA) administration of poorly running football in Ghana.
Ghana premier league (GPL) which is the main flagship of the GFA and in the words of Minister designate for Youth and Sports, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, “it is coughing” has been the worst victim.
The 2015/16 GPL season has delayed due to legal battles involving Techiman City and Wa Africa United that has to do with bribery and corruption allegation.
Alhaji Moro whose Berekum Arsenal finished 3rd to Techiman City in zone 3 during the 2014/15 GN Bank DOL season has acknowledged the game is suffering severely and won’t be surprised should he see the ‘funeral ceremony’
of football been observed in three years from now.
“Ghana football has no future and the leaders of football in the country are incompetent. A simple case involving Techiman City and Wa Africa united has been lingering on for months and because ‘friends of the FA’ are involved, the truth in relation to bribery and corruption allegation is been suppressed,” Alhaji Moro said.
“Three years from now Ghana football will be no more it will be “dead totally”, he added.
