Head coach of Sekondi Hasaacas Yusif Basigi has issued a passionate appeal to his old players to suspend their planned boycott of the club’s training over unpaid salaries and bonuses.
Hasaacas preparation for their Ghana Premier League opening game in Wa against Wa All Stars suffered a major setback on Tuesday when the old players of the side refused to show up for training, leaving only the 12 new players acquired this season at their Sekondi training grounds.
Coach Basigi who was very sad at the situation, told Happy FM that he would personally go to the homes of the players to plead with them to come out and train ahead of this weekend’s opener in Wa.
“Yes, only the 12 newly acquired players showed up for training on Tuesday, it is a difficult situation but I hope they would listen to me and join the training session.”
According to him, if the players stick to their boycott stand and at the eleventh hour they are paid while they are not prepared for the match against Wa All Stars that would be bad for them going into the first match of the season.
