Deputy chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association, Isaac Wilberforce Koomson will vie for the chairmanship position with his boss, Alhaji Raji and four others, sportscrusader.com sources has revealed.
The former Starke FC’s chief executive officer who swept off stiff competition from big wigs like Jones Abu Alhassan and Nana Oduro Sarfo in the 2012 elections to the win the vice chairmanship position will go for the main seat in April.
According to sportscrusader sources, Mr. Isaac Koomson has a lot of respect for the chairmanship seat and the incumbent boss, Alhaji Raji, thus, his decision not to make his candidature public.
GHALCA will go to congress to on Tuesday February 16 to fix a date for the elections scheduled for April and Isaac Koomson will make his interest in seat public.
Should Isaac Koomson announce his candidature to the general public, he will join Alhaji Raji, Cudjoe Fianoo, a former administrative manager of the association, and Kofi Poku who has also been rumored to be interested.
The Ghana League Clubs Association congress will be held at the media centre of the Accra sports stadium.
