Kotoko To Prepare For WAFA Match At Tema stadium.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will travel to Accra on Wednesday to prepare for their upcoming first premier league fixture of the season against West Africa Football Academy.


The Ghana Premier League title hopefuls were drawn against the Sogakope-based for the opening campaign of the new season which will kick-off on Saturday February 20 at the Sogakope Park.


And the team will travel to on Wednesday morning and hold three days training sessions before travelling to Sogakope for the match.


Kumasi Asante Kotoko has played about thirteen off season preparatory matches and have won twelve of their matches.


The record premier league title holders three trophies in those thirteen (13) matches and boast of a team with enough depth and experience.


Coach David Duncan will be without the services of promising younger striker, Dauda Mohammed who got injured inntje club’s pre-season victory over Bechem United a fortnight ago, and Owusu Jackson who has been ruled out of the season after fracturing his tibia in a special Sunday match at Maakro.


Asante Kotoko started poorly last season and ended up losing the league title to AshGold and will  look to win back the crown as they target a return to Africa for CAF inter-club football competitions — CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League.


The match will be televised on Super Sport 9 and other local stations in the country.
