Mid-Fielder Atta Agyei Tips Medeama For GPL Tittle Despite AshGold Defeat

Medeama SC midfielder Enoch Atta Agyei is optimistic his side can still go on to lift the Ghana Premier League trophy despite their 2-1 opening day defeat to defending Champions Ashanti Gold.

Former New Edubiase Striker Bernard Ofori’s goal from the spot was not enough to snatch at least a point for the Tarkwa based club after his former team mates Alhassan Nuhu and Fuuseini Nuhu had scored for Ashgold either side of Medeama’s goal.

But Speaking in an exclusive interview with SportsCrusader.com Atta Agyei expressed delight at the performance his team.

“Everyone was happy because we played very well and i think we will correct our mistakes for the next game” he said.

“We are beating Hearts of Oak hands down” Atta Agyei added.

Speaking about his side’s chances of lifting the Ghana Premier League trophy, the 22-year old midfielder said, “I believe in my self and my team mates we are the best in this GPL. With my help and my team mates help we are taking the league this season”

Medeama’s defeat at Ashgold comes just few weeks after they beat the Miners in the Ghana Super Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
