We Care About The Jersey Colour And Not The Brand - PLB

The Premier League Board (PLB) has answered critics and skeptics who have questioned why the board permitted clubs to unveil different manufacturers for home and away kits during the official launch of the 2015/16 premier league season.

Many Ghanaian premier clubs have been criticised for acting unprofessional notably, Ebusua Dwarfs who exhibited an Adidas manufactured home kit and a lotto branded away jersey. Another club that also towed the path to unveil different branded kits was Liberty professionals who showed an Adidas branded home kit and a Nike away kit.

The PLB had been accused of manning an unprofessional body and league with regards to how poorly clubs kit players and officials and it is this that has got the boards PRO, Taninu Issah to come out defending the league organisers.

Taninu said, “the brand of jersey is solely the prerogative of the individual clubs and not the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Premier league board(PLB).

“The colour of jersey for both home and away games as the rule stipulates is what the PLB/GFA is focused on and not whether a club s wearing Adidas at home and Nike away,” he added.

The long-delayed league is set to commence on February, 20.
