Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporters leader, Mr. Kweku Amponsah, popularly known in football circles as “Chairman K5” has called on the fans of the Porcupine Warriors to rally behind the team.
According to the outspoken Kotoko supporter, the team is currently on a rough patch of form and division among fans will only worsen the situation.
Speaking to Asempa FM in Accra on Friday Chairman K5 condemn the attitude of a section of the club’s supporters which only seeks to pile more pressure on the playing body.
He said calls by supporters for Kotoko trainer David Duncan and General manager Opoku Nti to be fired is not in the interest of the club.
The supporters leader also debunked rumours that a leading member of the club, Alhaji Lamini has printed T-shirts with the inscription “Opoku Nti Must Go”, for supporters of the club to wear to the Stadium for their game against Hasaacas on Friday.
Asante Kotoko will be hoping to register a first victory of the 2015/2016 Ghana premier League season as they host Sekondi Hassacas at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday afternoon.
