The much anticipated Ghana Premier League Match Week 10 encounter between Hearts of Oak and arch rivals Asante Kotoko will be played on Monday May 2, 2016 at the Accra Sports Stadium, according to report in the local media.
The biggest match on the Ghanaian football calendar was originally scheduled for Sunday May 1, 2016 but reports say the organizers have moved the match to Monday which will be a statutory holiday because the previous day (Sunday, 1st May 2016) falls on International Workers’ Day or Labour Day.
The first round Super Clash has already received loads of publicity by both fans and the media due the disparity in the forms of the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana.
Hearts of Oak, under Japanese coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi are in imperious form while Kotoko look to be struggling to find their footing despite being rated as the overwhelming favourite to lift the league title prior to the start of the season.
The Phobians remain unbeaten in the league after five matches and are currently top of the standings with 13 points.
Kotoko on the other hand have recorded only one win in 5 and have amassed just 5 points from a possible 15.
