GN Bank DOL: Mohammed Gargo Calling On Fans To Rally Behind Okwahu United

Head Coach of GN Bank Division One League side, Okwahu United, Mohammed Gargo has called on fans to rally behind the club as they seek to return to Ghana’s top flight league.

The Nkawkaw based side has managed two wins in their first three games of the 2015/2016 DOL season and are currently 4th on the Zone Three League log.

The former Ghana Premier league giant killers beat newly promoted Okyeman Planners 1-0 on Sunday at the Nkawkaw Park and in an interview after the game, Trainer Mohammed Gargo was full of praise for his players’ resilience despite what he describes as lack of strikers in his squad.

“I joined the team shortly before the closure of the transfer window so I couldn’t recruit strikers and goal getters to register. My current team is made of only midfielders and defenders and so I decided to reserve my play makers for the second half of the game”, the former Ghanaian international said.

“So when I brought them in the final stages of the game, they didn’t disappoint and I think that is our plan worked to perfection”, He added.

Okwahu United’s next game will be against Dreams FC in the FA Cup round of 64 and Gargo believes if the fans rally behind the team, they can realize their goals.

“I am appealing to the fans to continue to attend our games and support us. They should be patience with the tea. I know the people of Okwahuman love their team, and with their support, we can reach our goals” Gargo said
