2018 WCQ: Confusion Rocks Uganda Camp

The Cranes of Uganda head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, has slammed the local football governing body over the delayed payment of his salary for the last five months.

The Cranes are due to play the Black Stars of Ghana in a 2018 World Cup qualifier at the Tamale stadium on October 7.

“I am really frustrated because the Ugandan FA is not taking me seriously, yet I continue to work,” the Serbian.

Micho, after helping Uganda qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon 2017), is unhappy that the Federation of Uganda Football Association (Fufa) is not taking him seriously by delaying payment of his outstanding salary arrears.

“The FA president, Moses Magogo and, the CEO, Edgar Watson, went to Egypt for the CAF assembly without sorting me out,” added the coach.

Micho however reaffirmed his commitment to work despite the tough challenges and is waiting to see what happens before the end of the month.
