Winners of the CONCACAF Champions League Club America will face AFC Champions League winners in the second match of the quarter-finals, which will also be held on the 11 December.

The Copa Libertadores winners Atletico Nacional, as well as the UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid enter the competition at the semi-final.

The winners of the first and second matches of the quarter-final will go on to face 2016 Copa Libertadores champions Atletico Nacional and 2014 Club World Cup champions Real Madrid, respectively. The matches will be played on 14 and 15 December.

The final and the third place matches will be played on 18 December.

A total of seven teams will be participating in the competition, but only four have booked their spot so far. This includes New Zealand’s Auckland City, Mexico’s Club America, Spain’s Real Madrid and Colombia’s Atletico Nacional.

Egyptian giants Zamalek can represent Africa in the competition, if they won the 2016 CAF Champions League title. They are one step away from the African tournament’s final after they beat Wydad Casablanca 4-0 in the first leg of the semi-final.
