Dede Returns To Marseille

Ghana International, Andre Ayew, has temporarily returned to France in order to continue his rehabilitation at his former club, Marseille.

The £20.5million summer signing suffered a thigh injury during his Premier League debut for the Hammers against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last month and was subsequently ruled out until December.

His club, West Ham, who are struggling in this season’s Premier League, agreed to allow Ayew to return to France temporarily for further treatment, following his earlier diagnosis and a request to be treated in familar surroundings.

And the 26-year-old forward is said to have drawn a large crowd this afternoon when he attended Marseille’s training centre.

According to L’Equipe, Ayew took “light exercises alongside a physiotherapist” whilst suggesting that “the process recovery seemed well underway”.

Meanwhile, Ayew is certainly ruled-out of next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier double header against Uganda and Egypt in October.
