GPL: Wa All Stars Plan Trophy Parade

Reigning Ghana Premier league champions, Wa All Stars FC, will be touring the two other northern regions in the country as part of their preparation for continental football.

The Upper West-based side have sealed friendly matches with two clubs from the northern part of the country to round-off their celebration in the build-up to their CAF Champions League campaign.

Wa All Stars will first take on Real Tamale United at the Tamale Sports stadium before heading to the Upper East for another clash with an unnamed club.

The two ties will consolidate the northern solidarity and give a first-hand feel of the trophy to the football fans in the Northen region.

Speaking to www.sportscrusader.com on the proposed games in the North, General Manager of the club, Seth Panwum, cited the continued support as a binding factor.

“It has been touted as victory for Wa All Stars, but realistically, it is victory for Northern Ghana as a whole.

“It is an innaugural victory for a club from the three Northern regions and we can only be lucky to have been the recipients.

“It will give chance to the people of the North to lay hands on the trophy and also provide their support for us when we kick-off the CAF campaign”, Panwum said.

Wa All Stars maintained their strong start to the season to lay hands on the domestic championship in fairytale style.
