Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic threatened to break his agent’s legs if Paul Pogba did not move to Old Trafford in the last transfer window.
Ibrahimovic and Pogba are both clients of Mino Raiola. The Swedish star took drastic measures to ensure that his stablemate was not sold to another clubs.
Raiola told Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant: “Zlatan told me, ‘Do not transfer Pogba elsewhere or I will break your legs’.”
Fortunately for the agent, he did not have to find out whether martial arts expert Ibrahimovic was prepared to go through with his threat because Pogba joined the Red Devils in an £89m deal.
Ibrahimovic officially signed for United on July 1, with Pogba arriving on August 9.
After a slow start to life at Old Trafford, the France international put in an impressive display against Premier League champions Leicester City on Saturday lunchtime.
Pogba scored his first goal for United and was named man of the match in a 4-1 win for Jose Mourinho’s side.
