Great Olympics coach, Godwin Attram, has expressed how tough the Division One League(DOL) is, claiming it represents the ‘wilderness’ of Ghana’s football, after successfully securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The ‘Oly Dade’ Boys secured the only spot in Zone 3 after defeating Tudu Mighty Jets by 2-1 thereby topping the group, four points off Hearts of Lions who are in second place.

Attram was very excited with their promotion, but couldn’t forget the thrills in the Division One league which he described as a very tough one.

He told Sportscrusader.com: “The DOL is part of Ghana’s football but I must really admit that it represents the most toughest football competition in Ghana despite the poor facilities at most league centres. It’s very competitive because every team is desperate for qualification.

“Nonetheless, it has been a great experience for the playing body and for me as a coach and, I am really happy for our qualification.”

Olympics are returning to the top tier league after just a season in Division One and are joined by Elimina Sharks who have also secured qualification.
