Swiss: Assifuah Marks Injury Return For FC Sion

Switzerland-based Ghana international, Ebenezer Assifuah, made an injury return for FC Sion in a four-goal thriller away to Luzern.

The 2013 FIFA U20 Golden Shoe winner, returned for his Swiss side after missing their past three fixtures in the domestic championship.

The free-scoring attacker, last featured for Sion in a 3-1 win over Lugano but has since been sidelined due to a muscle tear which forced him out for the past few weeks.

Assifuah pulled out of the Black Stars’ final qualifier for the 2017 AFCON showdown at home to Rwanda.

The Ghanaian import came on in the final 10 minutes as a replacement to the booked Reiter Ziegler as Sion rallied back to earn a point in a 2-2 sell out.

Ziegler gave Sion the lead in the away tie but a quick brace from Marco Schneily overturned the scoreline before Kone levelled the scores for the Swiss giants.
