Ghana"s FA Boss Voted Onto The FIFA Council

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has been elected onto the Executive Council of  World’s football governing body, FIFA.

Nyantakyi was second in the contest after accumulating 31 votes from electorates on Thursday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo.


President of the Guinea Football Association Almamy Kabele Camara topped after pulling 37 votes.


Ahmad of Madagascar come close to equally Nyantakyi vote but his 30 votes was not enough to secure a second round.


Nyantakyi surpassed Ahmad from Madagascar with just one vote to get the slot on the FIFA Executive Council.


Camara and Nyantakyi will only have a temporary seat on the Council, however, as they will face re-election at the CAF Congress in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa on March 17.
