Turkey: John Boye"s Own Goal Costly For Sivaspor

Black Stars central defender, John Boye, registered an own-goal in a 2- 1 defeat for his struggling Sivaspor in the Turkish Super League.

The robust and lanky defensive pillar, put through his own net on the stroke of half time to hand BB Gazieterp an undeserved lead.

The Ghanaian miscued a ball which painfully found its way into the back of his own net after an impressive display all day.

The ever-impressive Musah Yilmaz however hauled Sivaspor back into the tie only for Ekigho Ehison to deny the visitors a late point.

The victory pushed Sivaspor into further relegation woes as Gazieterp moved into the top half of the league table.

John Boye and his Sivaspor teammates needed play-offs to sustain their league status at the end of the 2015/16 Super league campaign.
